Wayne
Williams built the Williams Landing store from an old corn crib that
had been in his family for years. Wayne has added onto the
original building and turned it into a warm rustic store
that reminds you of the good old days. Like
most convenience stores, Wayne has "a
little bit of just about everything," including ice, bait (crickets,
shiners, worms, and maybe even a few lures and jigs or other
fishing tackle) and snacks.
Located
on Highway 124, Williams Landing is not far from Jim Bowie's Relay
Station and Duty Ferry, one of the last few operating ferry boats in
the United States. Only 60 miles from Monroe, Williams Landing
is ideal for getting out of the city for a weekend to relax and s-l-o-w-w-w
down.

Put
your boat in at Williams Landing boat launch and fish right there in
the Ouachita River or motor a little ways to other great fishing
holes like Boeuf River, Rosin Creek, Little Creek, Deer Creek, and
Turkey Creek.
Williams
Landing is a great place for music jams, family reunions, or a weekend
getaway on the beautiful Ouachita River. It's not at all unusual to find
hunters
and fishermen discussing world events or telling tales of their history-making
sporting
conquests. You might even learn a great new recipe!
